I have a vintage store root beer keg and tap. It was my wife's grandfather's from a store he used to own. She was going to toss it out and I said "no way". It's in good shape, some patina, but I have no idea what to do with it so it has sit in storage for 16 years. I would love to repurpose it but what can you do with a small wood keg with a tap on it? (unless you happen to make craft beer).

I will get a pic of it tomorrow. Would love to find a way to both make it a display and have an actual function other than decoration because it does take up some desk space.

OK, here's what I got. Had it forever. It's got all the insides intact and complete too. What could I do with it?

    Pretty cool!

Not sure what to do with it, but I know you can restore it & make it look incredible.
    Bro....do you own a DeLorean?

Thanks dude! To be honest, I don't want to restore it. The patina is what gives it the character. I did put a little thought into it and I think I am going to clean it(but not polish it or restore it), gut the carbonation hardware out and make an indoor planter out of it.

From an antiques and value perspective, that's probably a good deal. It'll retain the look, since its practical use is long since passed.

Do you like beer ? Did I hear "KEGERATOR" or a beverage dispenser for out by your pool.

That is beautiful and glad you are going to keep the patina.
