    Some coverage of Wynne yesterday.

I kinda doubt that. The only thing original on my car is the vin plates and possibly the underbody.

Jeez, $67K in receipts and she still has an oil leak?!
This beauty is in better condition than mine so I am probably suffering from envy now and need something to pick at.

I don't get it though. For 67K plus the purchase price in 2013, you could have bought two really
nice cars. And if you'd invested the remainder, you'd probably have enough to buy a 3rd in 2020. Plus
it was at DMC for a year where it couldn't be driven.

I'd love to see what the BAT car looked like prior to all that work. It still has quite a few imperfections (creased hood, multicolor gray interior, scuffed rear fascia, etc) even considering the 67k invested. Someone must have had a sentimental attachment to this particular car to invest so much, or just had more money than brains.

Also, this quote from the stephen wynne article made me laugh:

“We’ve been on hold and we keep saying ‘It’s coming, it’s coming,’” he says. “We’re starting to lose the faith of a lot of potential vendors and partners. They’re starting to think that we’re full of crap.”
    No shit.

LOL....either Stephen read my posts, or I'm not the only one.

I had the opportunity to sit and talk with Stephen Wynne at one of the DMCMW open houses. What’s strange is he genuinely seems to believe they will be manufacturing new Deloreans soon. We all know it will never happen but the lie has been repeated so much that even he seems to believe it.

I personally believe him. No doubt they will make a "new DeLorean". They will not ramp up a production line though. They will make one or 2, cars. Jalopnik will have an orgasm, MSNBC will forget about Trump for 5 minutes, and Fox news will have it on the morning show as a prop. They will be made to order, you pony up the cash, they will build it, but it will not be some 300 cars per year assembly line like they have been eluding to.

They already do just what you mentioned, of course with recycled vin plates, a recovered binnacle and a few other refurbished parts.
