    Just killed my hood

Getting Christmas out of the attic, a box disintegrated on me and a lead sculpture landed on the hood. I don't think this is fixable.

Damn.....sorry to see that, man. It would be worthwhile to send Chris N pics and get his opinion.

I believe it would just be cheaper to buy a new hood. I would say about 1,600 with shipping and tax and I could probably sell this one for 4 or 5 hundred.

My dent guy is going to look at it. He said it was a very sharp dent (also below the reinforcement). If he fixes it to 90 to 95% I will be OK with that.

If I can't live with it after he fixes it then I will just buy another hood and sell the fixed one for 500 ish.

I thought a hood would be a lot more than that after shipping.

The hood is 1,350 and I figured 1,600 because the last I checked a new hood was $1,200.00. Maybe I am a bit low. Feeling cute, might destroy my hood later IDK.

I have a very nice flat hood that I posted for sale. My asking price is $900, but im open to offers. Its already boxed up in a proper hood box. I found a gas flap hood, thus I dont need this one anymore. It could use a regrain to be 100%

PM me a few pics when you get a chance. If my hood doesn't turn out OK then I would definitely be interested.

He is not sure he can fix it 100% because of how sharp they are. I really don't want to have to go through the trouble of restoring a used hood (refinishing the fiberglass, replacing the seal, wiring etc.) so I will be happy with 90 or 95%. I may be buyingf Andrew's hood worst case.

Why not go for a correct hood for your car?
