I just withdrew my initial $500 deposit.

I now have $756 of free money sitting in my Coinbase account. Life is good.

Well, HALF of the situation is good news.

In the process of transferring now. Should have started with XRP or BCH because I have been waiting 20 min for the BTC to clear and until it does I can't do another currency.

OK, after 30 minutes it finally cleared, sold 900 worth of BCH and 275 of BTC, not selling XRP yet because I think it's time is yet to come. This is where XRP shines. During heavy trading (especially at times when prices rise quickly) transactions can take hours to process. You have instant verification but if you wanted to trade what you just received, you couldn't do that until much later and with volatile fluctuations, it's easy to lose a lot of money. XRP takes mere seconds, even fractions of a second to clear and that's worldwide. That's why I'm holding it for a bit (and it's the one currency that I haven't made real money on yet).

In the end I chickened out and only sold about $1,400 worth (including the few hundred I sold a few days ago) which means my current investment is only at 600 bucks and I will not sweat losing that.

That's because it was already on the exchange. My BCH is still awaiting approval 2 hours later.

Coinbase sucks...Coinbase requires 12 confirmations and after 2 hours I'm at 9. Maybe by the third hour.

Edit: three hours after initiating BCH, I just got it finalized and sold it. I think this is a good learning experience as I have never transferred my Ledger holdings anywhere. I need to "predict" within a few days or weeks when I would be ready to sell and get it on the exchange and ready to go well ahead of time.
I realize that most people use crypto for it's actual intended purpose (currency) and have no need to exchange it into dollars but for me I got to plan ahead.

This morning I just decided to break even. Sold another 700+ worth just to bring my account to an even 4k with no skin in the game at all. I learned from last summer not to hold when you got a 200% return.

It will be interesting to see how long this transaction takes to confirm being Saturday morning.

Well that sux. Typical 3 hour wait time and by then BCH lost 10%. Crypto sucks. I see no real future in this stuff.

Yeah I'm pretty glad I got my investment back. Steve is too I'm sure. If he can hold off on PMing me about how my dark skin excites him, he might chime in.

Me too. Kinda wish I would have sold everything the other day but it is nice letting my remaining Bitcoin ride with zero risk.
