    Fake News

The media has been guilty of inaccurate reporting for as long as I can remember. IMO, it didn't start in 2016 but it was "unchecked" for decades.

Here's an example of a sensationalizing [inaccurate] headline I saw on Fox today:

    MassiveRat.jpg

Here's a pic of the rodent:

    rat-2.jpg

Using the spatula next to the "rat" for size-comparison, it's easily seen not to be anywhere near the size of a "massive rat." Actually, it's not even a "large" rat and might not be a rat at all. It's so small, it looks to me like a either a large mouse or a "very small rat." Fake news.

I bounce around on news pages for balance, they're sometimes so differing in their reporting I can't believe anything. Fox is usually the most balanced, but leans to the right.....CNN is sometimes has TDS so bad, their reporting looks to be in another Universe.

I see this stuff constantly....no way I'm the only one.

I've been trying not to be a grammar nazi, but I also see a lot of a lot of things that make me wonder how/why some of these people got hired.

I saw another one today, but they changed the headline before I could get a capture of it......they're onto us.

Oh I almost forgot about my own local station. I snapped this from my tv a few months ago from the last hurricane that hit (600 miles away). Our local news decided to get in on the drama(it was a live report). They were actually out driving the roads reporting how bad it was. My wife and I were cracking up.

I used to work for the company that runs the IT for USAToday, and practically every local news site it seems. I was shocked how many typos and misspellings made it into stories.
