Impulse purchase from a few weeks ago. Another Russian. Bid on it because the stainless band looks rather unique. Honestly thought at $20 someone would surely bid it up, but wound up with it. I don't love it, but it looks okay, works and does have a nice size dial.

Inside the crevices of the band is the crust of an unknown commie so I will have to clean and resize the band.

Also, I have an oldie on the way from our dreaded enemies to the North. The purchase was made BEFORE we declared war on Justin Trudeau, so nobody should think less of my patriotism. And it's a 100 year old American watch that needed to be saved from the evil clutches of the loathsome moose-banging maple leafers. Can't wait to get it.

I've been thinking of upgrading to a Casio calculator watch lately.

One brand that is reasonably priced and has a good "manly" look to them is Welder. The designer for U-Boat is behind the brand and they make what can only be described as cheaper versions of U-Boat as the styling and dimensions are very similar. From a retailer, they are overpriced for what they are, but grey market ebay prices are very reasonable (hard to spot counterfeits due to the simplistic designs so top sellers only).

I had a K24 and really liked it, ended up selling it because someone liked it more than me.

Here is a very special watch(to me). This is a Seiko Wired XYZ. Wired is Seiko's futuristic sub brand that goes for contemporary looks. It may not look futuristic now but this watch was made in 2004. The "Hoshina's Limited" was a special edition. Only 100 were made and they were only marketed in Japan. It has a very cool anodized finish that is brown, copper, or purple depending on what kind of light it's in. I was able to get #44 way back in 2005. Years ago I decided that since I never wore it, I sold it on ebay at a healthy profit. A few years later I started missing it and low and behold it was on sale on ebay(the very watch). I got it for much less than I paid and decided it was fate that I keep it. It has a ton of functions, alarm, light, world time zones, dual time display, and some other crap I never bothered to figure out.

I almost bought it; but, I'm not a fan of quartz movements. I know they surpass just about everything else in terms of accuracy, but I adore watching the movements work.

Still, I'm flattered by the recommendation.

I'll take them all! I think the ones you recommended for Rich Steve and Ron were the top 3 I like from that bunch.
