Calling the Delorean Community: Stop responding to "Wanted to Buy" solicitations!

    1) It's insulting. It assumes that just because a person holds a few thousand dollars that they are in some sort of superior position. No, you aren't, Brenda. The seller actually has possession of the uncommon object that you can't just go out and find at any CarMax. As I've said before, nobody logs onto a Ferrari or Porsche forum and asks to be catered to. There are way less of us than there are of Ferrari/Porsche owners and the assumption that Delorean owners are cheap, lower class rednecks (present company excepted) jumping at the chance to unload the well-sorted cars that they've owned for over a decade is just wrong.

    2) It's lazy. Is your google broken? If you're smart enough to find the forum you can presumably search the appropriate sections of the forums, craigslist, autotrader, the DMC sites, ebay and the back shed of the man banging your mom.

    3) It's stupid. You can come up with an example that suits the "buyer's" description and there will almost always be a reason why it's not good enough. Which is usually because at least 50% of them aren't truly serious anyway.

    4) It's unnecessary. Don't people with things for sale usually offer them up without asking?

    5) It feeds the uninformed. Some, not all, are uninformed anyway. Anybody want to tell this guy that a low mileage Delorean is not a good thing?

So stop wasting bandwidth on this. Delorean owners are in the driver's seat... literally.

Everyone is entitled to own a Delorean.

Agreed 100% when I was in the market I didn't make a post saying "here I am, whacha got?" I did my own research and found my own car. The grest thing about DeLoreans is sellers actually advertise so you don't need to make posts asking to buy.
Starvation, overpopulation, pollution, global warming, communisim,...all DMCTalk.com's fault
