Fiberglass around passenger's side striker pin has been repaired and repainted: Attachment 9144
Dash crack has been repaired and dash is currently getting repainted: Attachment 9145
Door sills looked filthy and dusty no matter how many times I cleaned them so I repainted those as well: Attachment 9146Attachment 9147
You can replace the fir trees with super strong magnets and the panels will hold quite nicely. And it makes it easier to remove the panel when you have to do work inside the door. I did this on my car.

Thanks, that's a really great idea!

If you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow, you're pissing all over today. Unless, of course, you have two feet in a DeLorean.

Things actually looked promising for five whole minutes. She idled, even quit her backfiring. Then after five minutes she went back to running like hell and died on me. DeLores can certainly be a moody old girl.

At least the door trim won't be falling out anymore...

Oh well. Someday she'll be drivable again... someday. I refuse to give up. I took on this project, and I aim to finish it.

FINALLY after 3 months I have a car that idles. Let me just say: DARN YOU, BILL ROBERTSON!!!!!!!!!!! Just discovered that Bill's wrong manifold gasket is the reason this car has not run properly, after spending three months trying to figure it out. It doesn't die now or rev up or puff out smoke like a locomotive. Three gaskets later, and after much frustration: I have a running car:
