The next DMA thing is in Toll Jersey and they are teaming up with the Fiero group. I'm not going because I'm lazy and have too many things to do this weekend otherwise, but I'm interested in hearing the reports back. At some point I believe the Bricklins did a team up but that didn't work out too well for whatever reason. I'm not saying Brickin owners dress up in bedazzled denim and touch kids, but I'm not saying they don't either.
Anyway, I liked Fieros well enough in the 90s, but the differences in production numbers lead to a different cuture. Thirty years later, rough and ready cars are still $2K, and the group distribution would be Goldman Sachs 1%er cars and then everybody else. If the car seems to develop any major or even minor issue, boom, it's parts.
Maybe Delorean and Fiero owners have one commonality, and that is the urge to modify plagues them because they are not shining stars among your wine and brie collectors. Fieros are shamed by being forced to wear Ferrari body kits. Deloreans get time machine shit stapled to them. That sort of abuse.
This post had no overall point other than being a random assemblage of observations tied together for no other reason than the douchebag OP felt like thinking out loud.
