To be fair, the part he's selling might have flaws in it and actually be a POS.
That said though, most broken handles stem from broken door setups rather than the handle itself. On a hot summer day, I'll take the plastic handles any day.
Target market right there: guy that's got metal handles and is tired of burning his hands!
One of my plastic handles broke about five or so years ago. I quickly called DMCMW and ordered two of those fancy smancy metal handles which are really nice.
I then gave away the plastic handle I had that was still good.
For someone in a pinch that doesn't have the cash to buy metal handles, getting a used one is fine. But make sure you have two working plastic handles. If both break, you are screwed when it comes to getting back in the car unless you want to leave the windows open in parking lots.
