Thread: Associated Industries Delorean Service

Forget your lousy automatic trans filters. The guys at associated industries modify a special bosch oil filter to coat the inside of your PRV. They said it takes 3 guys to put the special coating in it, so its worth the extra money. Yet another example of why I’m smart and you guys are dumb

Actually got a moment to go change the oil but I can't get the cocksucking oil plug out. I would use the tool my Dad made years ago but I can't find it. I went to home depot and got a gimble but I can't get it budge. (I have the 8mm square head) I should have gotten a slim ratchet thingee. Can anybody recommend a preferred one from Amazon?

Try putting some decent torque on it then hit the handle with a hammer(in the same direction of turn, not on the head).

This is just your car getting pissed at you for not using DMCToday tranny filters.

Well there's not a handle because I was trying to use a gimble similar to this one

I'd grind an allen wrench but I don't own a grinder and don't want to.

In a pinch I made one from a 3/8 ratchet handle and some careful grinding. Still use it today.

First, I want to congratulate the workers at DMCMW (who did my last oil change) for having the strongest arms and hands in the universe. I bought a slim ratchet to get out that oil bolt out, and promptly broke it. As I said above, I had lost my oil change tool and I don't have a grinder. So I went with the big guys in the biz. I went to AIDS.

Associated Industries makes a "Changing Oil Contraption." This big, beefy tool looks great and is very solid in my hands. At $25 it is a solid tool for use in other projects as well. Of course, the way Delorean oil changes work, it's messy and you get oil all over your COC, but it cleans up easily. Just wipe the shaft up and down several times and you're good.

    Thanks, AIDS.

I think I'm going to get one of those fancy drain plugs from Toby Peterson.

Is Associated Industries Delorean Service going to have a vendor booth at DCS?

They would probably allow you to represent them at DCS as long as you agree to display the customer service ethos once practiced by Delorean One.
