    PRV Donor Car

Wow, 300,000 miles! Things that are slow live a long time (turtles, trees, grandpa, etc).

From what I have discovered the 80-86 Volvo V6s are the same basic engine as the DMC PRV from the block up. The 76-79 B27F will also bolt up to a DMC with the same minor mods that are necessary to install a B28F. However, IIRC Volvo may have used the B280 in some 86s. The intake manifold is a clear indication of whether the engine is the B28 vs the B280 as the B280 had EFI and a different distributor. Aside from those difference the B280 is a mystery to me.

I don't know whether the Peugeot manifold will bolt up to the B280, but it would be worth investigating. I know that the Peugeot carbed manifold will not bolt up to a 3.0 Eagle engine.
