    I rebuilt my clutch master cylinder with WAGNER part # MK106461 from RockAuto. I paid $4.44 plus shipping.

    I believe I was able to pry it off with a screw driver.

    My car seemed to have an ignition column that wasn’t original to the car so my experience may have not been typical.

    I figured out the cap is "keyed." It can be rotated to where the notch & groove align, then pulled off.
