Stick this jumper in Relay #29 and your A/C panel bulbs will only come on with the headlights:

Perhaps it should be cc'd to the modifications section.

Are you sure it's #29? Isn't that the starter relay?

I tried it and had no luck.

According to the Workshop Manual it's 3rd from the end.

If you ran a jumper like that in the starter relay you'd create a dead short to ground whenever the starter was triggered (from Red/White to ground).

Got it; it's relay #30. Mine's wired a little differently; no surprise there, so I had to plug away at it until I got it to work, but now I'm good to go. Thanks, Bill!

The relay sockets can move if you slide them off of the bank of sockets. My headlight relays were swapped so I just moved the sockets back to the documented positions.

Best to ring the sockets out with a volt meter before sticking jumpers in them, especially since so many DeLorean circuits are unfused (or in the case of the headlights fused after the relays). No sense setting your own car on fire.

IIRC after this mod you can also remove the red module in relay area..

    +1
I also made the connection to the harness so as not to need the jumper in the socket. That opens up two spare relay sockets if you need them (mine are blank right now).

Purpose of seemingly inexplicable HVAC wiring:

    ACPanelOpaque.jpg

Other than VIN 500 (which let's be brutally honest, was just another pilot car), production cars were built with daytime visible HVAC lettering, rendering circuit complexity moot.
