Being in the Delorean community is like being in the locker room.

No matter how hard to try to avoid them, you will always have to deal with a few dicks.

Matt , I would just tell him that he has "educated" you enough as to his business practices and that you don't want any help other than having him remove your account from his business.

He's obviously being a total ass. He may feel he has the right to speak to you that way because he is the most experienced DMC mechanic but you don't need to be spoken to that way by anyone, ever.

For the front markers you can use a package of these (and share the remainder with 3 of your closest friends): http://www.mcmaster.com/#90356a306/=wzuxoy

I'm using plain stainless, not black oxide, but this is what they look like (I use the same length screw on each side for ease of reinstallation -- longer exposed threads just protrude into the foam):

I should look into a way to "blacken" the heads of stainless screws. I remember a way to mark your tools with your name. It used a liquid and a battery attached to a metal anode covered with the liquid.

Looks like you just attach the neg side of the 12 volt batter to the screw, put the positive side to some scrap metal and stick in salt water. Will have to play with this.
