Making an new mount for the firewall side is no big deal. The problem is, the thing won't like up with the master cylinder. I can't think of a way to make an adapter for that, hence me returning this unit.
As soon as I find a unit that lines up with the Saab master cylinder it is game on. I could care less about the firewall side lining up as I have a local redneck I'm going to get to make a new mount that will line up to the booster.

The next booster I am going to try is from a 1994 Nissan Sentra. The firewall bolts won't line up but the master cylinder bolts might.
My local junk yard has a million or so cars on the lot and a 94 Sentra happens to be one of them. I plan to visit the boneyard in a few days to check it out. I'm bringing a master cylinder, tools, and a tape measure. I'm going to find something that will fit.
The good news is that brake boosters cost $25 at the junk yard. When I find a booster that looks suitable, I will purchase it and test it on my car. Once I know it works, I can use it as a core towards a lifetime warranty unit at Autozone.

Incidentally, you bullies are calling me names but Matt gave up on finding a cross reference. Its a shame, because he would have been a pro at designing a new mount. Instead, I'm going to have to hire the local redneck welder to make one for me.

So the other day I decided to put my used brake booster on the car and remove the Hervey unit. The used one leaks too, so now I've got two bad boosters.
Anyway, back to this weeks story. My lazy butt decided I ain't going to the junk yard to cross reference so I started calling around to find someone to rebuild boosters for me.
First I called a local place that O'reilly Auto referred me to. Well they don't rebuild boosters anymore.
Then I spoke with Steve at boosterdeweyexchange.com. Super nice guy. I sent himi pictures of what I have along with the Girling part # for diapram. He said he couldn't get diaprams.
I then reached out to www.BrakeMaterialsAndParts.com. They said it could be rebuilt for $125 plus $15 shop fee and shipping.
I boxed the Hervey unit up and was about to ship it to them, but at the last minute I decided to take a chance and send it back to Hervey. I sent him an email with tracking info and a few hours later he replied back and said he would swap it out. If it is covered under warranty, I just saved myself $140 on a rebuild.
I really need to find a cross reference but I'm lazy. Someday...

Just received a replacement brake booster from Hervey under warranty. I must say I am impressed.

Went outside and installed the warranty replacement booster from Hervey today. All is well and I'm a happy customer again.
He must have changed rebuilders for these boosters. He used to only offer a five year warranty on boosters and now it is a ten year warranty. Of course, all of this is at his discretion but I got treated really good this time around.
My guess is he is using a different rebuilder these days that goes easier on him for the warranty stuff. My last booster from Hervey had all sorts of numbers written on it in white paint. This booster didn't have any writing on it at all.
Anyway, I'm a happy camper and 16510 has power brakes again. Yeah, I'm too lazy to cross reference a booster once again.
