We were happy to fill the void for a time but we can't make it work for us at this price point so I am glad to see someone else stepping in.
Thanks Julee. I just now saw your post too. I liked the signs that you sold, they were just too big for my tiny office. The price of the frame grows exponentially once you go to a true to scale 3" deep frame and over 40". I bet if I were to really scale it to 1/3 with a deep frame, the cost of the frame alone would be around 400.00

Michael, one question, when you used the sandpaper, you did the whole sheet, them added the vinyl? The clear letters aren't clear but sanded. Correct?

Correct, be sure to use 800 grit paper which will leave no sanding marks.

Me! I'm planning to build one of these out in the next couple months so I spent some time building out a vector image as best I could. I used the font "DMC" for the DMC lettering and "Optima" for the "DE LOREAN MOTOR CARS" lettering. The DMC font didn't look quite right compared to the original sign so I made minor tweaks to match the original as best I could.

I made this with Michael's 4 foot x 1 foot dimensions in mind but top vs bottom split closer to the original sign. I'll post an update when I finally get around to building this, but figured if others wanted to use this as a starting point they could save some time.

I had to store on Google Drive since the forum won't allow me to post svg files.

I like your split better. Mine being 50/50 makes the DMC hard to size large enough. Hindsight and all. I still to this day love mine right where it is in my office.

Finished my sign today! I'm happy with how it turned out. Photo with the lights off and on:

    Dave,

Is the Stainless Grain Real metal or Vinyl? It looks amazing.
